INSPIRATION BEHIND THE MURAL

Celebrating History and Culture

This mural's inspiration comes from the area's rich history and culture. The mural aims to celebrate and preserve the neighborhood's unique identity by creating artwork that reflects the local heritage while adding a modern, artistic twist.

Typography & Natural Elements Integration

A key feature of the mural is the creative use of typography, particularly the round shape of the letter "R," designed to flow smoothly with the air vents. This unique element will seamlessly integrate with the existing infrastructure. Additionally, the mural will incorporate plants that appear to grow over exterior water pipes and air conditioners, creating a visually striking contrast and highlighting the interplay between nature and city life.

CONCEPT

CREATING AN URBAN JUNGLE

Enhancing the Neighbourhood

The concept focuses on creating an urban jungle within the historical area of Hong Kong. This involves incorporating elements of the surrounding environment into the mural to create a cohesive and immersive experience. By blending natural and urban motifs, the mural will enhance the neighborhood's aesthetic appeal and cultural significance.

Integrating Art and Environment

The mural is designed to be more than just a piece of art; it is an integral part of the environment. The mural becomes a natural extension of the area by incorporating elements of the surrounding infrastructure, such as air vents and water pipes. This approach enhances the visual appeal and fosters a deeper connection between the artwork and its surroundings.
