ABOUT

Nike and Jordan invited me for this prestigious collaboration due to my unique artistic style and my ability to seamlessly blend cultural elements with contemporary design. It was an honor to receive the freedom and trust from the Nike team to create four major artworks for their exclusive “Jordan by You” DIY T-shirt collection. This collaboration aimed to provide customers with a personalized and culturally rich experience, making each T-shirt a unique piece of art.

Concept

Infusing Hong Kong Elements with Basketball Culture

The concept behind the "Jordan by You" DIY T-shirt collection was to merge distinctive elements of Hong Kong with well-known subjects from the basketball world. Each artwork reflects the vibrant culture and iconic imagery of Hong Kong, combined with the dynamic and energetic spirit of basketball. This fusion ensures that every T-shirt not only stands out as a fashion statement but also tells a story that resonates with both local and global audiences.

INSPIRATION

Celebrating Cultural Heritage and Basketball

The inspiration for the artworks came from a deep appreciation for Hong Kong’s rich cultural heritage and its passionate basketball community. By incorporating traditional motifs, urban landscapes, and basketball symbolism, the designs celebrate the intersection of culture and sport. This project is a tribute to the city's unique identity and its influence on the world of basketball, aiming to inspire customers to embrace their individuality through custom-designed apparel.
